Professional Swimming Pool engineers have considerable experience installing, maitaining, servicing and repairing Air Handling Units from all the major manufactuers, such as Climatec, Heatstar, Calorex, Dantherm, Indux and Vaporex.
Every Air Handling Unit is commissioned to the indoor pool complex it is fitted too, as all units are designed to control the environment for a certain pool hall air volume, water and air temperaure and humidity range. From our considerable experience we have found that not all Pool Builders have commissioned their Air Handling Units and they do not run at their most efficient settings costing the owner £100′s in extra costs to heat their pool and control the pool hall humidity.
Air Handling Units vary in the way they control the environment in the pool hall, some units are fitted with compressors that put a cold blanket in front of the pool hall air returning to the machine which causes the excess moisture to condense and leave the machine as water. These units also have the ability to return some of this energy back to pool air and the pool water saving on heating costs. When these machines are not maintained correctly they can consume large quanties of electricity to run the compressors leading to large energy bills.
Other Air Handing Units use a Condensing unit that passes cold fresh air next to the pool hall air returning to the machine which again causes the water mositure to condense and leave the machine as water, but his lowers the air temperature which needs to be reheated and does not have any heat recovery, so the units efficiency varies through the year depending on the outdoor air temperature.
All these units have fans to push and extract air and these will be fitted with air filters and even fan belts to rotate the fans. Professional Swimming Pool engineers regularly remove panels on the Air Handling Unit to check and clean filters, check on drive belts wear, clean and calibrate sensors and ensure the machine is operating at its most efficient without excess running costs.
